Each scarf is finished beautifully with a hand-stitched rolled hem. \n\n\nSize\nCirca 110cm x 110cm square.\nMaterials\nHandwoven, naturally dyed cotton. Each scarf is un unique and there will be natural variations in hues from the images. \nCare Guidance\nHand wash fabric in cool water with a ph neutral, eco washing soap. Don’t use stain remover or harsh chemicals. Dry flat and store out of direct sunlight to preserve the colour.\n\n\n\nMayamiko has partnered with AMMA for these unique, limited edition products. Amma trains and employs mothers living in the Sri Lankan highlands to turn food waste and plants into natural dyes. Sustainable textiles, ethically handmade.\nThey create beautiful plant dyed textiles, encouraging consumers to 'open their eyes' to this ancient art and become aware of the negative impact that the fashion and textile industry has on our world.\nProducts are made in a rural workshop, using handwoven cotton and 100% plant dyes using food waste such as avocado stones and pomegranate skins from hotels and restaurants along with foraging for fallen leaves and sourcing medicinal plants to produce our dyes.\nEverything evolves around the dyes, this is why things take time.
