We’ll cover what goes into watercolor medium and why it works so well, along with all the tools and processes necessary to make your own watercolors.  We'll also explore synthetic, earth and mineral lake pigments and see how different pigments respond to the paint-making process. We'll work in teams of 6 and make 2 colors each, so everyone will leave with a Simple Travel Palette stocked with a full set of at least 12 colors!\n\nMATERIALS NEEDEDThese are the supplies you'll need to bring for class—feel free to supplement this list with other options you love or have on hand!\n\nA notebook and a pen or pencil\nAll your questions about watercolor paints!\n\nIf you'd like to purchase supplies from our shop, you can order online and select in-store pickup, or shop in person before class. Shop hours are 11am-6pm daily; please plan ahead if you're picking up supplies! Instructors will not have access to the shop when we're closed.\nABOUT INSTRUCTORAlexis Joseph founded Case for Making in 2014 as a space to explore all aspects of the creative practice.
