Rocky or sandy or bushes always seemed to find a way to set up my tent and they held all night. Very strong too. Titanium is very light and strong for its weight, but some care should be exercised to prevent bending. Thin stakes like these are easier to press into firm soil compared to thicker stakes. They are great for low intensity applications like pinning down a groundsheet, or in combination with some thicker higher holding power stakes like Zpacks Carbon Fiber Stakes.
