This attractive, small-fruited muskmelon has very flavorful flesh and an ultra-thin rind. An extra-early producer, the vines grow many small melons, ideal for lunchboxes and general snacking. This compact heirloom was bred at the University of Minnesota in the 1940s. Fruits grow to 9". This variety is more commonly known as "Minnesota Midget Melon." Hudson Valley Seed Co. has replaced a portion of this name with a respectful alternative.
