Align tears edge to edge or – if possible – bond them together with fabric and light pressure.\nTo repair larger tears and holes, backing with fabric is required as this stabilises the affected area. Cut the fabric to size with an overlap, mark the centre of the fabric with a highlighter or sticker to ensure even positioning and secure this centre with a pin. Smooth the edges under the leather, then glue in place and let it dry.\nFor cuts, tears or frayed areas, follow the same procedure as for tears – apply fabric backing, use adhesive sparingly, secure well and let dry. The more precise your work is, the less noticeable the repair will be.
