The sandalwood and aloeswood base is accented by the jupi (also known as chenpi in Chinese), aged tangerine peel. Jupi is commonly found in Asian households, and is used for everything from stews to teas to traditional Chinese Medicine. As it ages, the crisp, acidic flavor of the tangerine peel matures into a warm citrus scent, refreshing yet nourishing at the same time. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, jupi is used to aid a range of digestive and respiratory problems. Teacher Qiao only made this recipe in incense cone form, so we have now re-created it in our own studio and made incense sticks. It is not an exact replica, as we chose a more aged tangerine peel, which adds a wonderful warmer touch to the scent. All incense in the Premium incense collection are enclosed in Wutong wood boxes painted with traditional Chinese red ink.\n     \nFull length: 21cm | 8.25 inches (50-60min burn time/stick, total 16+ hours for 20 sticks, 41+ hours for 50 sticks) Half length: 10.5cm | 4.125 inches (25-30min burn time/stick, total 8+ hours for 20 sticks, 20+ hours for 50 sticks) Ingredients: Sandalwood, Aloeswood, Aged Tangerine Peel, Benzoin, Camphor, Nanmu All stick incense are enclosed in a glass tube and a Wutong box. Wutong is a type of wood popular for storing incense in East Asia due to its superior anti-mold and anti-moisture properties.\n     \nPlease note that as every piece is handmade, the size, shape and color will have irregularities depending on the batch.
