• The seller proves possession: before going live they photograph the item next to a one-time code. No photo, no listing.
• You pay into escrow: pay by card once it is live; Firestarter holds the funds. No wires, no cash drops.
• Funds release on handoff: when you receive the item, the seller gets paid. If it never shows, the money does not move.

Buying through Firestarter escrow is free. Sellers pay a flat 3% on completed sales only. We never contact sellers for you - you send the claim link through the same place you found the listing.
