We recommend using heat-resistant polyimide tape while millmaxing a PCB. We offer it here in a 0.5" wide (12.7mm wide) spool that is perfectly suited for millmaxing. After dropping a row of millmax sockets into your PCB, apply a strip of polyimide tape across the row on top of the sockets to hold them in place. Flip the PCB over and solder the millmax sockets in place, then peel off the polyimide tape off before installing your switches. We recommend using this tape with 3305 Mill-max sockets.
