Mauveine... Its primary use in the 1850s and 1860s was for dyeing silk, cotton, and other fabrics, creating "Mauve mania" in Britain and France. Queen Victoria in particular, was a fan. My interpretation of this shade is inspired by the mauve printing ink on a 8p postage stamp from the era.  From the Spring 2026 Collection, "Mauveine Elegy".
