Our favorite product to use as a medium for growing microgreens, coco coir is made of compressed coconut husks. It expands when you add water to it (which, frankly, is fun to watch!), and it makes a simple medium that is easy to work with. Expand it in a bowl and then fill the tray afterwards. One disc fills up to the "fill line" of one of our microgreens trays. Each unit contains 12 discs.
