These cups were thrown on a potter’s wheel one at a time by Lees Summit-based studio potter, Louis Reilly. The coarse, iron-rich stoneware clay is visible on the bottom third of the piece. A tea dust glaze was made using naturally occurring domestic materials and wood ash from a wood fired pizza oven.
